Position Overview

  • Coordinate and Collaborate: The Coordinator team is committed to achieving results by supporting goals and initiatives of the Claims Management Department.  The team is primarily responsible for timely and accurate new claims set up and working with business partners on behalf of Examiners, as well as preparation of claims documents and correspondence, and processing of claim and expense payments, and maintenance of department electronic filing.   Additionally, the team is responsible for daily check process and any other tasks as assigned by department management team.

Skills and Requirements

  • Intake and initial set up of claims 
  • Process loss and expense payments with supervision
  • Incoming and outgoing mail
  • Daily check process, including reconciliation of checks 
  • Format and distribute coverage letters
  • Monitor, order and maintain department supplies
  • Filing Maintenance 
  • Department vouchers
  • ISO Claim search weekly reports and inquiry distribution
  • Maintain relationships with all departments within HAI Group’s Insurance Operations Division
  • Provide support for external partners including policyholders, governmental agencies, insurance broker and other business partners
  • Flexible and adaptive

Knowledge/Experience/Licenses

Required: 

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum one year experience in claims handling environment 
  • Claims management department operations 
  • Microsoft office application experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred: 

  • Property and Casualty (P&C) claims handling operations experience
