Compensation Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually commensurate with experience
Overview:
The Program Director will have primary responsibility for the day to day operations of the COVID Mobile Testing & Vaccination program, ensuring that services are delivered according to contract guidelines. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, staff management, oversight of logistics, accountability for documentation and reporting, communications with funder and vendors. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced program manager looking to lead a program with multiple moving parts and a strong public health mission. Housing Works provides all employees with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed to adhere to infection control guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide management oversight and direction of Mobile COVID Testing & Vaccination Initiative
- Responsible for supervision of non-clinical staff (Lead Team Coordinators, Team Coordinators, and Patient Encounter Associates)
- Work closely with the Medical Director to ensure the clinical operations of the program are running efficiently.
- Function as the primary administrative point of contact for routine communications with funder, vendors, and other business relationships.
- Participate in hiring, coaching, progressive discipline, and termination of staff as needed.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
- With Assistant Director, complete daily, weekly and monthly program reports to funder.
- Gather and interpret qualitative and quantities data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement CQI activities.
- Understands the medical emergency procedures and is familiar with the location of the emergency kit/supplies in all clinic settings.
- Provides on-call coverage as scheduled.
- Works collaboratively with all members of the program to build a supportive team.
- Applies infection control measures according to agency and NYS DOH guidelines.
- Maintains professionalism and adheres to client confidentiality.
- Assists in orienting/precepting new staff when necessary.
- Provides and documents services in accordance with State, Federal, Medicare, Medicaid regulations as applicable.
Other functions that may be required with this position include:
- Coordinates with Medical Director to improve deficient services and the development and implementation of plan of correction.

- Field work required.
- Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Care Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree with sufficient management and operational experience will be considered.
- Contract management experience preferred.
- Understanding of basic statistical analysis and presentation, with proven ability to use data to inform programmatic decision making.
- Ability to communicate effectively across professional disciplines, with funders and disciplines.
