Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time X-ray/CT Technologist to float between our The Woodlands and Cypress centers. The candidate can be based out of either center, offering flexibility and the convenience of working closer to home. The role requires a commitment to a minimum of one day a week and one Saturday a month, with potential for increased hours or a transition to a full-time role.
As a CT Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing Computer Tomography (CT), Radiography (X-Ray), and Dexa procedures, ensuring professional interaction and communication with patients, families, center staff, referring providers, and radiologists. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of patient care and imaging excellence.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform CT procedures.
- Perform general Radiography procedures.
- Perform Dexa procedures.
- Administer IVs for contrast injections as necessary.
- Properly set up and use the power injector according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Perform i-Stat creatinine testing.
- Verify physician orders and ensure correct procedures are performed.
- Welcome and escort patients to the dressing room, explain procedures, and answer questions.
- Screen for pregnant patients, ensure proper patient positioning, and use the lowest radiation doses (ALARA) while maintaining image quality.
- Ensure procedures are ready for interpretation by a radiologist in the PACS.
- Maintain accurate patient records in RIS and PACS, including QC logs, service records, and technologist sheets.
- Handle STAT exams with urgency and precision.
- Practice infection control procedures and ensure overall safety practices.
- Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment; ensure proper use per manufacturer’s instructions.
- Track, order, and maintain CT-related medical supplies as needed or directed.
- Stock and maintain linens properly.
- Open/close clinics, including activation/deactivation of alarms.
- Maintain your work schedule and be proactive in fulfilling your duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative backup and support.
Educational and Skills Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiographer.
- Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge.
- High School graduate; BS degree preferred.
- Graduation from an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology (college or hospital affiliate).
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certified by the State of Texas to practice and administer radiation.
- CT Registry with ARRT (or equivalent) or enrolled in an approved CT curriculum.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, and outpatient imaging procedures.
- Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing (additional languages preferred).
- Proficient in the use of office computer systems related to the job function.
- Ability to multitask while remaining detailed and organized.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally and knowledgeably to questions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
