Responsibilities
- Clearly communicate patient needs/concerns with the orthodontist
- Thoroughly educate patients on various procedures and treatment recommendations
- Proficient record taking: intraoral photos, 3D x-rays, iTero scan
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures and exams and gather all patient dental records
- Perform various laboratory duties
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of previous orthodontic assistant experience
- Knowledge of dental/orthodontic terminology
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Exceptional attention-to-detail
