       What you can expect:

      As a Medical Services Representative, you will provide a variety of services for patients, and visitors. As a main point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for making referrals, record keeping, and data entry. Additionally, as an advocate of the Howard Brown Health mission, you will be responsible for providing high quality service to ensure patient satisfaction!

      How you will make an impact:

      • Prepare and maintain medical and behavioral health charts/records, forms, registration
        materials, and other related documents in accordance with HIPAA
      • Generate patient referrals to medical specialists as ordered by Primary Care Providers (PCP),
        using the appropriate channels
      • Assist with telephone calls to Medical Services by pulling medical charts/records for patients
      • Focus on customer’s well-being
      • Verify insurance benefits for patients. Upon change of insurance coverage, documents covered
        benefits
      • Maintain established department procedures, objectives, and quality assurance, safety,
        environmental, and infection control and suggests corrections or process improvements
      • Adhere to HBHC Core Values and Superior Customer Service Expectations.
      • Perform other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED:

      • Must be able to travel to different locations as necessary
      • Minimum of a High school diploma or GED

      • Requires ability to speak audibly and listen actively.
      • Requires ability to use computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
      • Requires ability to sit for extended periods of time.
      • May require occasional bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
      • May require periodic travel.
