Job Overview:
Howard Technology Solutions is seeking a highly analytical and organized Business Analyst & Project Manager with a strong background in data analytics, project management, and Smartsheet development and reporting. This role will be responsible for driving business insights, managing key projects, and optimizing reporting processes to enhance decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, ensure accurate data analysis, and implement efficient project management practices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Project & Process Management:
- Plan, initiate, and oversee key projects to improve operational efficiency.
- Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution.
- Partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement efforts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Drive adoption of Smartsheet and other reporting tools across teams.
- Identify and document opportunities to streamline business processes, utilizing automation where applicable.
- Lead internal service improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency, collaboration, and service delivery
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including communication plans, schedules, and executive status reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables align with stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
- Act as a Howard steward for quality, ensuring customer satisfaction
Business & Data Analysis:
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Collect, clean, and interpret data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Smartsheet and other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL-based tools).
- Identify trends and patterns in data to support strategic decision-making.
- Work with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting needs.
Smartsheet Development & Reporting:
- Build and maintain Smartsheet dashboards, automated workflows, and reporting solutions.
- Optimize reporting processes to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency.
- Train and support teams in leveraging Smartsheet for project tracking and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, and Project Management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Smartsheet development and reporting, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, and other data visualization tools.
- Project Management: Experience managing projects using Agile, Scrum, or traditional methodologies; PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Process Improvement: Experience with automation, workflow optimization, and process documentation.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP / CSM Certification
- Experience in technology, IT services, or enterprise SaaS industries.
- Knowledge of CRM, ERP, or other enterprise data systems.
- Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP), Data Analytics (CAP, CDMP), or Smartsheet.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data and project challenges.
- Proficiency in business intelligence and project management tools.
