SUMMARY
The Electrical Designer will provide electrical design services on a variety of commercial building projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Electrical technical design and quality control on assigned projects
- Assist in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities
- Perform initial site investigations and observations of work done by installing contractor(s) related to contracted projects
- Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines
- Maintain assigned project schedules
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit
- Two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical design
- Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in HVAC/plumbing design in the MEP field
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Revit, AutoCAD and Design Master
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work indoors in an office setting. Must be capable of occasionally climbing ladders and of traversing obstacles. Regularly required to type, file, or lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to visit construction sites, traverse uneven surfaces, and wear a hard hat. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment(s) is moderate due to the open nature of work environment and frequent interruptions by phone and in-person visits.
