Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce a quality product that complies with all HP Hood, State, and Federal guidelines;
  • Operate ice cream freezers, injection/variegate systems, fillers, and other related equipment in a manner that meets all company formulas and specifications, SOP’s, guidelines, and best practices;
  • Monitor and work with employees assigned to filling operation to ensure full compliance with established protocols;
  • Properly fill out and complete all documents used to monitor and track all products used in the manufacturing and sanitation process;
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, as well as clean and safe work practices at all times;
  • Disassemble and clean all vats, pumps, freezers, pipe lines, injectors, whirlers and variegate set ups, valves, filling machines, conveyors, and other equipment used in the manufacturing process;
  • Properly operate CIP system for work center being cleaned;
  • Sanitize and reassemble above equipment in accordance to daily production schedule;
  • Clean and sanitize all floors, walls, and drains associated with and in proximity to the work center being cleaned;
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair above mentioned equipment or report repair needs to supervisor;
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities including gasket, o-ring, and seal replacement to the above referenced equipment;
  • Follow all Company, State, and Federal requirements, ensuring compliance with all GMP’s, SOP’s, and any other regulation;
  • Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude;
  • Be cooperative and take initiative to ensure smooth operations;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times, following all safety policies, procedures, and rules;
  • Report unsafe observations or conditions to a supervisor or manager;
  • Immediately report an injury or accident to a supervisor or manager;
  • Meet all company requirements for training, including but not limited to Log Out/Tag Out Awareness, PPE, PIT, Ergonomics, etc.

SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner following prescribed procedures;
  • Report food safety problems to a supervisor or manager;

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Basic math and computer skills;
  • Ability to work independently and within a group/team atmosphere;
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Carrying: Light (30–50 lbs) Frequently, distance of 10 yards
  • Pushing/Pulling: Up to and over 150 pounds occasionally

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.32 - $26.57 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Suffield, CT 06078: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
