HR Administrator Role
As HPI Canna continues to grow and evolve in the dynamic cannabis industry, effective human resources management is crucial to our success. The HR Administrator plays a vital role in managing the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, across various employment types including part-time, full-time, contractor, and seasonal roles. Additionally, this position is responsible for the ongoing management of payroll using our Payroll Solution, Greenleaf HR.
The HR Administrator must ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations while fostering a positive work environment that aligns with HPI Canna's values and culture. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. The HR Administrator reports directly to the HR Manager or Director.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding processes for all employment types (part-time, full-time, contractor, and seasonal).
- Prepare and process necessary paperwork for new hires, including employment contracts and required documentation.
- Manage the offboarding process, ensuring all necessary steps are completed for departing employees.
- Payroll Management
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of payroll using Greenleaf HR.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.
- Employee Records Management
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all employee information.
- Benefits Administration
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and provide necessary information.
- HR Policies and Procedures
- Help develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Generate and maintain various HR reports as needed.
- Assist in analyzing HR data to support decision-making processes.
- Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Assist in fostering a positive work environment and company culture.
- Recruitment Support
- Assist in the recruitment process as needed, including job posting, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
- This role requires being on-site at HPI.
The role is not responsible for:
- Making hiring or firing decisions
- Determining compensation packages
- Conducting performance reviews
- Developing company-wide HR strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in HR administration, preferably in a similar industry.
- Proficiency in payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $59,260.00 - $64,461.00 per year
