What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Associate position at HR Butler?
Position Summary:
This position involves working as part of the Finance Department dealing with daily reconciliations, account coding, transaction documentation, audits, and various other accounting procedures. The Accounting Associate role will be office based.
Position Goal:
The goal of this position is to help ensure proper accounting of transactions, and coordinate with various functions within the company to ensure documentation and records are handled appropriately, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
This position has authority to substantially affect the relationship between the company and a customer; therefore, the following functions are considered Essential Job Functions:
- Audit Final Quotes to Match Billing while tracking undelivered, unbilled items and billing once they are delivered
- Reconciliation of company bank accounts and company credit cards
- Supervise client collections
- Audit projects
- Preparation and filing of Sales tax and Commercial Activity Tax Returns
- Perform basic reporting functions out of accounting software for management
- Performs other related duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced Skills in Excel.
- Capable of learning new softwares quickly
- Quickbooks experience a plus, but not required.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Strong Technical skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or comparable work experience
