What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rest Area Job Coach position at HRC?
POSITION: Rest Area Job Coach
RATIONALE: The Rest Area Job Coach shall perform janitorial and
grounds maintenance activities, be responsible for
training developmentally disabled workers in the
development of basic work habits and skills, and
supervise disabled workers in all aspects of performance
related to the Rest Area contractual agreement with the
State of Illinois.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. At least 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent;
2. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation;
3. Ability to relate to positively to disabled adults;
4. Knowledge of custodial and grounds maintenance procedures;
5. Positive role model for persons assigned to work at the Rest Area;
6. Ability to follow verbal and/or written directions and to work without constant supervision and be self-motivated;
7. Ability to maintain data/records required for job site/contract;
8. Ability to climb ladders to perform maintenance duties;
9. Ability to operate mowing equipment;
10. Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled;
11. Physical ability to perform medium lifting
12. Ability to pass pre-employment background checks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.90 - $15.15 per hour
