What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at HRM ENTERPRISES, INC?
Cashiers are one of the points of contact for all guests visiting Lehman’s. Cashiers assist in creating a memorable experience by offering a friendly greeting and providing excellent customer service in a friendly manner.

Cashier Tasks and Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge guests entering and leaving the store.
- Answer questions regarding products, services, locations, local attractions, etc. and provide information on procedures and/or purchase/return policies.
- Tabulate purchases using: Point of Sale (POS) computer, cash register, calculator, optical price scanner.
- Understand the returns process and proper handling.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
- Complete general cleaning duties such as sweeping/mopping floors/spills, emptying trash cans, dusting, etc.
- Maintain lobby shelves to ensure items are restocked and are marked with prices.
- Assist departments with merchandise processing.
Fudge Counter – Periodically assist with selling homemade fudge at the seasonal fudge counter; duties may include:
- Providing fudge samples and other incentives to persuade people to buy fudge.
- Cutting, serving, and/or boxing specific quantities of fudge.
- Keep the work area clean and neat by organizing the fudge and supplies, dusting, and cleaning the counter, etc.
Other tasks as assigned.
