Quality Inspector (3 Openings)
Location: Aiken, SC
Contract: 12 months (Contract-to-Hire)
Compensation: $26.10/hour (optional benefits available)
Work Schedule
This position offers two shift options. Candidates will be assigned to one consistent shift.
Option 1 – 2nd Shift
- Monday–Thursday
- 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM
- 10-hour shifts (4 days/week)
Option 2 – Weekend Shift
- Friday–Sunday
- 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 12-hour shifts (3 days/week)
- Every weekend
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector ensures products, processes, and systems meet established quality standards. This role supports manufacturing operations through inspection, testing, and analysis, and works closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues. Strong attention to detail, measurement skills, and an understanding of manufacturing processes are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and measure parts, assemblies, and finished products
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Document inspection results and report nonconformances
- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with machining, welding, and production teams to resolve quality issues
Required Skills
Metrology (hands-on experience with precision measurement tools):
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
- Keyence and FARO arms
GD&T:
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles and symbols
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to advanced inspection or testing methods in a manufacturing environment
Required Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or a related role
- Familiarity with machining and welding processes in a production environment
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of quality inspection or quality control experience
- Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified environments
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience (radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, etc.)
- Advanced metrology experience with CMMs, optical comparators, or similar equipment
Education
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field
