Human Technologies, Inc. is recruiting an experienced Plant Manager for a large manufacturing company in the greater Augusta, GA area. This is a full-time, onsite position. The salary range is $100,000 - $118,000 / year, depending on experience and education. Relocation allowance/assistance is available.
Requirements:
- Must have 6 years of recent experience as a Plant Manager and/or Production Manager in the manufacturing industry
- Must have strong previous experience in leading and implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives; Six Sigma certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
- Project management experience
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong computer/software abilities, including experience with ERP systems
Job Duties include:
- Oversight and responsibility for all plant operations, production, personnel, equipment/maintenance, inventory, safety and quality.
- Initiate lean manufacturing processes which minimize costs through effective utilization of labor, equipment, facilities, materials and capital.
- Develop a positive, efficient work culture by setting clear expectations, spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, developing and training team members, and maintaining individual accountability.
- Responsible for cost controls and process optimization related to supply chain/inventory forecasting and usage, production, labor costs, scrap/waste, downtime, etc.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the internal leadership team and external contacts, including customers and vendors.
- Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that KPI’s are met and best practices are followed.
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills and relationships at all levels within the company to effectively lead change.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, training and knowledge sharing to all levels of the organization on the use and practice of good manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
