HTI is recruiting an experienced Process Engineering/Manufacturing Manager for a chemical manufacturing plant in Augusta, GA. This is a full-time, direct hire, salaried position. The salary range is $150,000 - $180,000 / year, depending on experience. This position includes a generous bonus package, and relocation assistance is available.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years of Process Engineering experience in a chemical or food additive manufacturing plant
- 5 years of leadership or management experience
- Understanding of chemical/phosphate manufacturing operations and technical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of chemistry, mechanical skills, basic electrical and instrumentation skills, distributed and PLC process control systems, material science relevant to phosphates, PFD and EFD drawings, project management, and unit operations
- Experience with SAP ERP system strongly preferred
- Must be able to work “hands on” in troubleshooting process and equipment issues
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (now or in the future)
Job duties include:
- Responsible for supervising, coordinating, planning, and facilitating work related to process engineering.
- Ensuring that the manufacturing capability is in place and aligned to support overall business needs and strategies. This includes costs, product quality, safety and environmental requirements, as well as with functional management of production from the receipt of raw materials to the finished product.
- Provide day-to-day technical and product development support for phosphoric acid and sodium/potassium phosphates, as well as process engineering support as needed for capital projects.
- Process engineering responsibilities include technical troubleshooting of process related issues and problems, knowledge transfer to less experienced personnel, and support for process improvements and new product developments.
- Supporting the project engineering group with planning, estimating, developing and implementing capital project improvements with appropriate cost controls.
- Project development support function requires thorough knowledge of capital project management process that includes a working knowledge of finance, engineering, and construction.
- Responsible for budgeting/finance management and cost control activities.
