What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer position at Hubbell Electric Heater Co?

Summary

Performs services as required for the safe and proper installation of electric water heaters in residential applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares/fills box truck for daily work from schedule.

Prepares water heaters for installation.

Perform necessary MDT work for each job.

Reviews jobsite conditions to determine the proper sequence and methods of installing products.

Physically places new water heaters and removes old water heaters from the jobsite.

Performs basic plumbing tasks involved in the disconnection of a water heater.

Inspects completed installation for conformance to cleanliness/ completed job specifications.

Completes necessary documentation to verify proper water heater installation and customer satisfaction.

Visually inspect and take inventory of water heaters at the 264 Seymour location.

Organizes/Rotates inventory of water heaters.

Assists in monitoring inventory of spare parts at 264 Seymour location.

Pulls spare parts for UI part orders.

Supports Lead Installers tasks when required.

Maintain cleanliness of trucks and shop.

Must be able to lift and carry 400-600lbs with the assistance of 1-2 others.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required High school diploma or equivalent; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education and/or Experience

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply shop math at the high school level. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Requirements

Ability to continuously stand or walk.

Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing written and electronic figures, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small defects.

Typing on a mobile computer keyboard.

May occasionally involve repetitive movements.

Frequently sit, sort, file paperwork or parts, grasp lightly, and use fine manipulation, bend, lift, carry, push and pull objects that weigh more than 50 pounds.

Multi-tasking with frequent interruptions.

Occasionally write by hand, use a telephone, twist, bend, stoop, and squat.

Working Conditions

May require extensive work hours during peak business planning cycles.
