POSITION: Hudson Tech Alternative Academic Coach
Hudson Area Schools is seeking applicants for the full time position of Academic Coach. Applicants who are energetic, student-centered and can motivate at-risk students are encouraged to apply. The Academic Coach is responsible for developing student supports for Tech Alternative students in grades 6-12. Responsibilities would include setting, communicating and working with students on academic goals and achievement plans, school-wide support initiatives, case management, transition programs for students into the workforce, assessment and reporting for program effectiveness, and developing relationships with teachers and parents/guardians, community organizations and other resources. Communicating progress with parents, teachers and administration will be expected. Schedule could include after school hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; State of Michigan Teaching Certification preferred.
- Work with small group and individual students
- Communicate and coordinate academic goals between students, teachers and parents
