Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate dialysis machines, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols are followed.
Monitor patients throughout dialysis treatments, checking vital signs and ensuring comfort and well-being.
Administer prescribed treatments such as dialysis, administering medications, and documenting all treatment processes.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of dialysis machines, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Assist in patient assessments by collecting and recording relevant medical history and data before dialysis sessions.
Provide patient education on dialysis procedures, diet, and lifestyle changes to help manage kidney disease.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including vital signs, treatment progress, and any complications.
Ensure sterile techniques and infection control procedures are followed at all times.
Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
Assist in troubleshooting any equipment issues during treatments and escalate problems as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in Dialysis Technology preferred.
Dialysis Technician Certification (e.g., CCHT - Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician) preferred or the ability to obtain certification within [specified time].
Previous experience in a dialysis setting or related healthcare field is highly desirable.
Knowledge of dialysis equipment, treatments, and patient care protocols.
