Position Summary
The Ultrasound Tech performs US procedures on patients as prescribed by physicians and per hospital policy and procedures.
Specific Job Duties
- All US positioning/procedures per departmental protocol, biopsies
- Vascular proficiency preferred
- Trophon Room, proper disinfection/cleanliness of probes and equipment.
- Equipment operation, quality control tests.
- Infinitt PACS, ERAD, STATRAD
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Education, Experience and Certification/Licensure Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be fluent in the English language. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
- Graduate of an AMA approved Ultrasound program that meets the requirements of AIUM.
- Meets requirements for registry in ARRT.
- RVT not required but preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
Salary : $60 - $65
