Seeking a full time technician assistant for a fast paced, state of the art small animal hospital and luxury boarding facility.

Our new addition must, be warm, caring, and possess the ability to multitask in a busy environment and do so with accuracy. We are open seven days a week and need someone who has the ability to work either early mornings or evenings; rotating weekends are required.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Good client communication and proper telephone etiquette.
Must be able to read, speak, and write legibly in English.
Must have basic computer literacy skills and be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously while working in a busy environment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work on your feet, and write legibly.
Professional appearance is required (scrubs) at all times.
It is preferable that the candidate be able to administer injections, take vital signs, and properly restrain animals (including fractious pets) for examination and treatment but not required.
Reports to: Lead Technician & Veterinarians
Essential Functions:
- Prepare records, consent forms, etc.
- Admit patients
- Greet clients in a friendly manner
- Dispense medications, pet foods, and supplies, refill prescriptions
- Properly invoice prescriptions and pet foods to maintain and manage inventory
- Update client/patient files
- Maintain computer records/backups
- Perform closing procedures
- Properly restrain animals
*As in all veterinary clinics there is possible exposure to x-rays, anesthetic gases, zoonotic diseases and hazardous materials, however we provide the necessary protective measures to ensure the staffs safety.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
