JOB SUMMARY: Supervise the operations of the Shipping and Finishing Departments to include receiving, inventory control, shipping, sealer operations, grounds maintenance, refinishing area and janitorial. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain a safe working environment; participates in Safety Audits. Train operators on the safety of operation of the department and other essential functions. Gives leadership to other team members. Review daily schedule and, in discussion with other warehouse team members plans and prioritizes daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements. Alerts team members to any special truck loading configuration or customer delivery requirements. Maintain accuracy of inventory within the operating systems of TWS and BPCS through accurate receiving, adjustments and cycle counts. Checks specification sheets and other written instructions to meet customer specifications. Personally checks pallets of product for quality purposes. Maintain the highest level of efficiencies within the operating department. Train other personnel of the functions of this position. Write and periodically review comprehensive operating manuals as required. Prepare required information for shift changes as required. Develops, among assigned personnel, a consciousness for the need for teamwork to attain the highest quality and productivity. Maintain scheduling database for outbound shipments. Oversee safe and efficient fiber unloading practices. Maintain sufficient operating supply inventory. Other duties and tasks as assigned. MININIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree or equivalent Warehouse experience 3 to 5 years of Supervisory experience Communication skills Computer skills – Microsoft excel, word ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: BPCS software experience, PI process systems Join us to shape the future together!
