About us
Hunter is looking to add inspectors for our border operation! This position is responsible for thoroughly inspecting trucks and trailers to ensure they are safe and compliant for operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Makes inspections of units entering and exiting the yard to ensure the mechanical compliance with Department of Transportation requirements
- Inspects tires, lights and other exterior components for safe operating conditions
- Inspects trailer arriving from Mexico for damage and/or mechanical defects
- Ensures the timely and authorized entrance to and departure of equipment
- Refuels equipment as required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Trailer inspection: 2 years (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
