What are the responsibilities and job description for the Goalkeeper Coach position at Huntsville City FC?
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Huntsville City FC Goalkeeper Coach will be asked to help build and develop a team, in conjunction with the Nashville SC Head Coach and other technical staff, to be competitive in MLS NEXT PRO. In addition, the Assistant Coach will help create a systematic approach to determine overall progress of staff and players.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in building and developing a team to be competitive each year.
- In conjunction with HCFC Head Coach and Nashville SC coaching/technical staff, help determine the overall team strategy, philosophy of play and roster selection.
- Support training activities including technical exercises, team tactics and individual training.
- Scout and study opponents, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses on all offensive and defensive set pieces.
- Scout international, domestic and college soccer players.

- LEAD ALL GOALKEEPER SESSIONS – PLAN, DO REVIEW
- OVERSEE HCFC IDP GOALKEEPER PROGRAM – DEVELOP A GK SYLLABUS
- ASSIST IN SEASON & SHORT-TERM PLANNING – GK FOCUS
- ASSSIST ASSSITANT COACH WITH OUR DEFENSIVE STRUCTURE OVERVIEW & SET UP
GAME DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Head Coach with the Team Roster and Line-up.
- Provide tactical and strategic foresight and analysis of game day opponents.
- Assist with team tactics, substitutions, and instruction to players.
- Review game video and analyze team performance with entire coaching staff
