RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential –
- Organize, conduct and supervise volleyball practice.
- Organize and supervise conditioning and weights during the fall semester.
- Assist head volleyball coach in all recruiting functions – exact recruiting tasks will be assigned by the head volleyball coach.
- Assist head volleyball coach in scheduling games for both the fall and spring semesters.
- Assist head volleyball coach in maintaining the volleyball budget.
- Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
Secondary –
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the head volleyball coach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Successful volleyball coaching and/or volleyball team member experience preferred.
- Student athlete recruitment experience preferred.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, media and the general public.
- Physical requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; visual acuity to view a computer terminal; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; moderate outdoor and indoor work environment.
- Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.

WAGE and STATUS:
The hourly rate is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC administration. This part-time support staff position is 5 months annual (August 1 – December 31). This position is at-will, non-exempt and is not benefit eligible.
The selected candidate shall be required to submit official, non-issued to student, transcripts.
