Department: Staunton Clinic
Work Hours: M-F; Daylight Hours
Basic Function: This position functions as part of a health care team by communicating patient needs/problems to the provider and assists in the delivery of health care in an outpatient setting. Responsible for the completion of metabolic monitoring and entering results into the EHR.
Qualifications:
Required: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program. Obtaining MA certification within 12 months of hire and maintaining it while employed. Basic Cardiac Life Support. Computer skills and literacy. Excellent communication skills. Competency in POCT (Point of Care Testing). Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred: Current MA Certification. Minimum of one-year medical assisting experience.
