What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant Opportunities position at HVHS Brand?
Medical Assistants are utilized within the Physician Offices of Heritage Valley Medical Group, Heritage Valley Pediatrics, Heritage Valley Obstetrics/Gynecology, Heritage Valley Heart & Vascular, Heritage Valley Surgical Associates, and ConvenientCare Clinics. Full time, Part time, and Casual opportunities will vary by location and/or shift(s) at any given time. Offices are located throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.
Required
High School graduate or equivalent. CPR Certification. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment. Computer experience.
Preferred
Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of one year medical assisting experience. Proficient in venipuncture.
