HX5 is currently seeking a Network and Computer Engineer Senior, to support SCARS effort in the Training Directorate at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have knowledge of computer engineering and software virtualization to support the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and existing computer networks.
- Assist in systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation.
- Must have knowledge of the DoD Defense Information System Network
- Must have Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) Distributed Interactive Simulation and High-Level Architecture standards knowledge to provide assistance in engineering efforts to solve complex technical issues affecting network standards.
- Must have a general working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and procedures required to achieve an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Master’s degree in a related field with ten (10) years of related experience of which five years must be in the DoD.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field with twelve (12) years of related experience of which five years must be in the DoD.
- OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience of which eight years must be in the DoD.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
