HX5 is currently seeking a Network and Computer Engineer Senior, to support SCARS effort in the Training Directorate at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have knowledge of computer engineering and software virtualization to support the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and existing computer networks.
• Assist in systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation.
• Must have knowledge of the DoD Defense Information System Network
  
  

(DISN) infrastructure as well as dedicated services such as point-to-point connectivity and Internet Protocol-based services and Virtual Private Networks.

• Must have Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) Distributed Interactive Simulation and High-Level Architecture standards knowledge to provide assistance in engineering efforts to solve complex technical issues affecting network standards.
• Must have a general working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and procedures required to achieve an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
  
  

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

• Master’s degree in a related field with ten (10) years of related experience of which five years must be in the DoD.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field with twelve (12) years of related experience of which five years must be in the DoD.
• OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience of which eight years must be in the DoD.
  
  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Must be able to travel, including air travel.
