Position Summary: The Director of Food and Beverage & Culinary Operations will be responsible for both the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and strong financial performance. The ideal candidate brings a passion for hospitality, culinary excellence, and team development, along with a proven track record of success in high-volume, full-service hotel environments.
Detailed Description:
- Lead the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including our restaurant, Social, and our market, as well as banquet/event services, and culinary operations.
- Ensure exceptional service, consistency, and quality across all F&B touchpoints.
- Partner with the Executive Chef to develop menus, implement food standards, manage kitchen operations, and support culinary innovation.
- Drive departmental performance in alignment with financial goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, food and labor cost control, and P&L accountability.
- Oversee hiring, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, coaching, and disciplining all employees to ensure adherence to established cultural and core standards.
- Maintain a visible presence in the operation, specifically during an event.
- Recognize colleague achievements, promote good public relations.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales and Events team to ensure flawless execution of all functions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of events by reviewing Banquet Event Order, and ensuring proper communication with guests and other departments.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures, health/safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction scores, driving service improvements and timely issue resolution.
- Establish vendor relationships, oversee purchasing and inventory management, and ensure product quality.
- Lead sustainability and efficiency initiatives where applicable.
- Abide by all organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership in food and beverage, including oversight of culinary operations and large banquet facilities
- Proven experience managing high-volume food and beverage operations in a full-service hotel or resort environment
- Strong financial acumen with a history of delivering on revenue and cost-control targets
- Deep understanding of culinary best practices, food safety, and kitchen management
- Effective leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor, inspire, and drive accountability
- Proficient in English, Spanish a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, event management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office
- ServSafe and alcohol service certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
