The Role: Event Sales Manager
As the Event Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional experiences for our clients. From meticulously planning every detail to fostering strong customer relationships, your expertise in sales and event management will contribute to the success of our prestigious hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and oversee conferences, events, and hotel room blocks, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for clients.
- Build and maintain professional customer relationships to secure group and catering business, consistently delivering exceptional service.
- Maintain well-organized, accurate, and up-to-date file management, ensuring expedient and knowledgeable client service.
- Supervise contracted group room blocks, managing cutoffs and attrition to optimize event outcomes.
- Conduct Planning Meetings, Site Inspections, and Pre/Post-Conference meetings, ensuring event excellence and soliciting feedback.
- Coordinate site visits and meetings for upcoming groups and potential affiliates, showcasing our venue's offerings.
- Develop customer profiles and maintain an effective trace system, resulting in superior service and increased revenues.
- Foster strong customer relationships through appropriate communication and professional, courteous interpersonal interactions.
- Promptly address customer needs and inquiries efficiently, demonstrating your commitment to exemplary service.
- Represent the hotel with integrity, professionalism, and a sincere, service-focused attitude at all times.
- Cultivate a positive, collaborative attitude towards all hotel departments, fostering open communication for optimal performance.
- Uphold a neat, clean, and professional appearance, reflecting the hotel's high standards.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in general sales techniques.
- Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Strong verbal and written communication and business writing skills.
- Agility to meet clients on and off premises, conduct property tours, and operate office equipment.
- 2 years of Social Event Planning preferred.
- 2 years of food and beverage experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in up-selling techniques.
- Ability to execute a sales and marketing plan to optimize revenue.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude is essential.
- Comfort with computers and event software.
- Availability to work weekends as required.
