JobSummary:Reporting directly to the maintenance manager, the maintenance supervisor provides supervision and monitors activities of all casting and downstream operations equipment which include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and building maintenance activities. Ensures that needed repairs are scheduled, delegated, and completed by the Technicians.
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs formal, on the job training, and instruction of all maintenance technicians regarding proper maintenance methods and procedures.
- Reviews and inspects all work of casting and downstream operation Maintenance Technicians.
- Supervises and assists in maintenance repairs and assures compliance with all policies and regulations.
- Assist in setting up Preventative Maintenance schedules for casting and downstream operations.
- Makes studies, prepares reports, and develops programs to improve operations in the Maintenance Department and efficiency of subordinates.
- Provides moderate strategic and tactical input.
- Provides advanced engineering and/or quality-oriented skills.
- Responsible for contributing to product and process integrity/reliability.
- Review all equipment data and prioritize/delegate work needed to achieve 95% machine uptime.
