Job description:We are hiring an experienced Water Well Installer for California water well projects only, specializing in vertical turbine pump systems and well rehabilitation. This position involves hands-on installation, removal, and servicing of deep well pumping equipment, as well as rehabilitation and development of existing wells in compliance with California DWR and local county regulations.Key Responsibilities:Turbine Pump Installation & ServiceInstall, pull, and service vertical turbine pumps (bowls, columns, line shaft, and motors)Perform shaft alignment, bearing inspection, and motor couplingDiagnose mechanical issues such as vibration, reduced output, and wearAssist with motor setup and coordination with electrical contractorsWell Rehabilitation & DevelopmentPerform well rehabilitation including brushing, surging, jetting, airlifting, and chemical treatmentsRestore well efficiency and address sand production, biofouling, and mineral buildupMeasure and record static water levels, pumping levels, flow rates, and recoveryAssist with well development and post-rehab performance testingRig & Equipment OperationsOperate and assist with pump rigs, hoists, winches, and support equipmentSafely handle column pipe, shafting, and heavy componentsConduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenanceLoad, secure, and transport materials to job sitesSafety, Compliance & DocumentationFollow Cal/OSHA and company safety proceduresWork in compliance with California DWR well standards and county requirementsComplete job tickets, pump setting reports, and basic field documentationMaintain clear communication with supervisors and customersQualifications:Required3 years experience in California water well installation, turbine pumps, or well rehabilitationStrong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilityKnowledge of California well practices and safety standardsAbility to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditionsValid California driver’s licensePreferredExperience with agricultural, municipal, or industrial turbine wellsFamiliarity with DWR Well Completion Reports and field documentationCDL (Class A or B) or willingness to obtainRig operation or crane experienceBasic motor or electrical knowledgeWork EnvironmentField-based work throughout CaliforniaOutdoor work in heat, dust, and varying terrainLong days and occasional weekends depending on project demandCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime in accordance with California labor lawPer diem or travel pay (if applicable)Paid time offAdvancement opportunities within the companyWhy Work With UsCalifornia-only projects with consistent workloadSkilled, experienced crewsQuality equipment and safety-first cultureOpportunity for long-term employment and advancementJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Paid time offExperience:Well installation: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In person
