Overview:
The Production Engineer, reporting to the VP of Operations, will assist the scale up, engineering design, fabrication, and operation of HydroGraph’s production and research machines.
This will include taking bench top experiments from porotype to commercial scale. You will be expected to participate with a team or on your own to understand a concept then create prototypes, formalize designs, and be hands-on in the building and operation these solutions.
This is a salaried position with an expectation of 40 hours per week on-site in the Manhattan Kansas facility.

Deliverable Outcomes:
The Production Engineer will be responsible for delivering certain critical outcomes, including:
1. Execute duties with no safety incidents or harm to themselves or anyone else.
2. Assist in the documentation, optimization, operation, and deployment of proprietary production equipment.
3. Develop and build other production and testing units to support R&D and application development.
4. Domestic and international travel maybe required. Relocation maybe optional.
Responsibilities:
The Production Engineer’s responsibilities will include:
· Suggest, develop and implement engineered solutions to a variety of challenges.
· Collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team to achieve goals.
· Participate in product development by taking R&D bench-top projects to prototype and then to commercial-scale implementation.
· Maintenance of equipment.
· Operation of equipment.
· Documentation of designs and processes.
· Following and developing procedures.
· Fulfilling assigned responsibilities without supervision.
· Work safely and follow safety and quality policies.
· Lift items up to 20lb and climb up 15ft ladders or work on elevated platforms.
· Other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following experience and capabilities:
· Engineering degrees or work experience in mechanical, electrical, or control system engineering.
· Experience designing and building prototype devices. Additional value for prototype to production experience.
· High CAD proficiency with understanding of assembly design and attention to life cycle and documentation requirements.
· A preference for hands-on prototyping, fabrication, repair, and operation.
· Machining, welding, and other trade experience.
· Familiarity with Quality Management systems and compliance.
· Demonstrate creativity and independent problem solving.
