Manufacturing Engineer

Summary

As a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for designing, planning and implementing tooling as well as establishing the correct manufacturing processes for producing various hard material wear parts in our tungsten carbide-based business lines. You will work cross-functionally with operations, sales and product management to develop, enhance and design product solutions in a cost-efficient and timely manner.   Excellent engineering and project management skills as well as a sense of urgency are critical aspects of this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Be the single-point site contact for new and existing product development and manufacturing.
• Receive requests for new products from sales, product management etc. in the form of drawings and evaluate them for manufacturing feasibility.
• Work with sourcing, supply chain and operations to propose and implement a suitable manufacturing solution to fabricate new products.
• Ensure efficient execution to meet cost targets and time commitments.
• Prepare presentation material and make presentations to internal and external customers as needed.
• Participate and conduct training as and when required.
• Create and foster a “Safety First” culture.
• Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the company’s policies
• Produce engineering drawings from customer drawings using CAD programs (SolidWorks & Autocad)

Pay rate $73,000 per year to $95,000 per year based on experience.
