Hypower Inc. is requesting applicants for an experienced equipment operator who is familiar with the following types of heavy equipment: Backhoe, Extend-a-hoe, Mini-Excavator, Medium Excavator, Large Excavator, Skid Steer Loader, Off Road ForkLift. Preference will be given to applicants with a Class A CDL Drivers License.
Position shall include excavation of utility trenches, manhole and handhole excavations. Backfilling of excavation areas in controlled, compacted lifts. Operator shall be familiar with telecommunications and power types of excavations. Pay is commensurate with experience and License Status. Travel will be required for this position. Per diem and transportation will be provided by the company.
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Follow all company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid other workers, other equipment, potential obstructions and marked or unmarked utility lines.
· Operate equipment safely and efficiently
· Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instructions of on-site management
· Follow all equipment monitoring and perform minor servicing or maintenance repairs
· Be able to operate cable placement equipment and tools
· Operate jackhammers, air knives, air compressors, powered augurs and trenching equipment
· Place conduit and/or cable in trenches, install couples, vaults, manholes, and other material to complete construction tasks
· Maintain all company equipment and vehicles assigned
· Ability to fulfill client restoration requirements per job
· Move and/or load material utilizing dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
· Adhere to, promote, and accept personal responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Customer Specific Standards, and Industry Consensus Standards
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of operating heavy equipment and 5 years in construction industry
· Specific Training that is required shall be provided by the company.
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work efficiently in a self-manage environment
· Conscientious, hardworking, Team player
· Positive attitude and respect for others while always working in a Team atmosphere
· Standing, walking, bending/stooping/repetitive movement (shoveling/sweeping) 6 to 8 hours daily
· Ability to lift weights up to 75 Lbs.
· Consistent and appropriate attendance and punctuality
· Appreciation for Respectful Work Environment
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
· Must be able to pass a background check.
