Hypower has an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Electrical Purchasing Agent to join our team!
We are seeking an organized self-starter for a purchasing agent position in our Commercial Electrical Division. Prior experience with electrical purchasing is required, and familiarity with Smartsheets and Spectrum is desirable. The salary is $ 60,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Brief
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for processing material and master buyout requisitions and issuing purchase orders for these. The Purchasing Agent shall be responsible for considering price and availability for these purchases, as well as tracking purchases until they are received. The Purchasing Agent shall oversee and manage the inventory and distribution of stored materials at vendors and Hypower warehouses and be responsible for releasing these materials to jobsites and prefab upon a predetermined schedule or request from the appropriate party. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Place Misc. and Prefab Material Orders
- Process Material Releases from PO’s
- Check-in All Materials Released to Prefab
- Checking in All Materials Released to Warehouse for Storage
- Release Stored Material from Warehouse to Jobsite and Prefab
- Maintain Backorder Log (Misc. Purchases and PO Releases)
- Process Material Returns
- Tool Purchasing, Tracking, and Inventory
Knowledge/technical competencies
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical purchasing experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects), Smartsheets, Spectrum, and other technology platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
