Schedule:: 2nd or 3rd Shift; Training on 1st Shift for approximately 90 days.
Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)
Job Summary:
Employees in this position will perform tasks to support the Non Destructive Testing Inspector including loading, running, and unloading the ovens for stress bakes and vapor degreasing. To succeed in this role, the NDT Assistant will maintain and organize a daily schedule of process bake times and communicate appropriately to variable departments including, but not limited to, NDT and Plating. NDT Assistants perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and fumes from metal finishing chemicals. Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment may be required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and respirator (provided by Company).

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with experienced NDT Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks.
- Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced NDT Inspectors.
- General review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
- Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
- Perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
- Follow safety precautions as trained.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.
Education/Previous Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment a plus.
