Overview
Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking for a role where you can make a real impact? The Manufacturing Engineer I drives process improvements in the manufacturing area by monitoring current processes, identifying waste, and eliminating it. They also play a key role in determining capital needs, leading projects, developing cost reductions, and safety improvements.
Responsibilities
Work with manufacturing employees to identify areas for improvement
Develop manufacturing processes to improve flow
Design and develop fixtures, tools, and facilities to support and improve current processes
Support daily activities to ensure safety, quality, and delivery
Research equipment related to capital improvements
Implement LEAN manufacturing methodology in process
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
3 years related experience or training in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Knowledge of production processes, costs, quality control, raw materials and other methods for maximizing the efficient manufacture and distribution of goods
Understanding of GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor, basic CAD/CAM experience
Basic mechanical design knowledge, using and understanding of general test and measurement equipment, torque wrenches, force gages, caliper etc.,
Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of basic statistical tools
Machine Shop knowledge and experience in the fabrication of sheet metal products, and plastic parts, knowledge of sheet metal stamping, dies, and tooling
Basic knowledge of Electrical/Electronics
Knowledge of the how various systems interact and how changes in operations, the environment and other conditions will affect outcomes
Ability to communicate effectively, and knowledge of MS suite, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education
Technical degree required in such disciplines as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Engineering
