Summary of Position:

Procurement Specialist (Costing) will manage customer costs and negotiate material purchases with suppliers.


Corporate:

  • Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as assigned 

EHS:

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Meets company safety goals 

Job Duties:

  • Prepare price decisions based on cost calculations with HQ in Korea
  • Collaborate with any team in the plant and HQ in Korea through new project, from RFQ to product specification and pricing negotiation.
  • Negotiate Parts price with OEM for new projects and Engineering changes
  • Negotiate tooling costs and other expenses with OEM.
  • Conducts cost analysis for parts, tooling, and any supplier expenses and negotiates price with suppliers.
  • Communicate with customer for any issue related to Sales
  • Maintain sales goals by monthly, quarterly, and yearly and Create and analyze sales results report
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers
  • Collects and summarizes documents from suppliers and support HQ and Customer request.
  • Other task as assigned.
  • Establish and build a pleasant relationship with suppliers for future business dealings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills Required:

The employee generally works in indoor office and warehouse environments.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3 years’ industry experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, mathematics, economics, engineering or a related field (bachelor’s degree of higher)
