About the job Mechanical Product Sourcing Manager. This restructuring is centered on organizing the team by commodity to drive deeper specialization, increase accountability, and strengthen strategic alignment with business priorities. A core pillar of the new structure is ensuring 24-hour global coverage across all major sourcing categories in order to avoid delays in addressing time-sensitive issues that require immediate support from sourcing, engineering, and supplier partners. This role will focus on managing core mechanical commodity categories, including but not limited to Rack Frames, Accessories, and PCBA ME components, which together represent an annual spend of approximately $500 million. These components are foundational to our product cost structure, thermal performance, and manufacturability. You will In addition to operational responsiveness, this is a strategic sourcing role. The selected candidate will be expected to: Support 24-Hour Global Coverage: Partner closely with Asia-based counterparts to ensure seamless transitions and issue resolution across time zones. Drive Strategic Commodity Management: Develop category strategies using market intelligence, cost modeling, and supplier performance data. Deliver Cost Savings: Consistently achieve 2–3% quarterly cost reduction targets through sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and value engineering. Mitigate Supply Risk: Implement strategies such as dual-sourcing, alternate materials, and buffer planning to ensure continuity of supply and price stability. Align with Product and Manufacturing Roadmaps: Engage with engineering and product teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with long-term technology and regional manufacturing strategies. Enable Regional Manufacturing Shifts: Support initiatives to localize production and sourcing in North America in response to geopolitical and supply chain dynamics. You have Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field. 4 years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience in high-tech or data center industries. Experience sourcing one or more of the following: networking switches, optical transceivers, or server hardware. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Familiarity with Incoterms, contract terms (MSA/SOW), and cost models. Understanding of global supply chain dynamics including tariffs, lead time variability, and regional sourcing. Ability to forge deep relationship, work cross-functionally and influence without authority. Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills. Experience working with hyperscale cloud or enterprise customers is a plus. Knowledge of OCP, ORV3, and AI/ML infrastructure trends is a strong advantage. Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
