Role Description
The Junior Business Analyst will collaborate with business partners and the technical team specializing in both legacy system support and new systems development. The role will be responsible for comprehending and documenting the necessary corrections and updates for the legacy system and coordinating and ensuring the reliable and effective completion of these updates. The Junior Business Analyst involvement is also expected in all activities related to the development of new systems. This is a full-time hybrid Junior Business Analyst role with opportunities to work remotely part-time.
Qualifications
- Collaborate closely with business partners, various departments, and technical teams, to understand and document required corrections and updates for the legacy system.
- Work closely with development teams to provide guidance and clarification on legacy system requirements and assist in the resolution of system-related issues.
- Facilitate communication and foster collaboration between business partners and technical teams to ensure successful support and enhancement of the legacy system.
- Utilize SQL to query and analyze data within the legacy system, diagnosing issues and identifying potential solutions related to specific data configurations.
- Assist in prioritizing and managing the backlog of legacy system-related tasks, ensuring that requirements are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with testing teams to develop test plans, test cases, and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate legacy system changes and enhancements.
- Assist in monitoring the performance and stability of the legacy system, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks that may impact business operations.
- Provide end-user support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution, to ensure smooth and efficient usage of the legacy system.
- Participate in new systems development activities as needed, collaborating with the team to analyze business requirements, provide input on system design, and support the implementation of new solutions.
- Stay updated with relevant industry trends and technologies related to legacy system support and share knowledge with the team.
