What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Voice & Data Technician to join our National Accounts team. The Low-Voltage Technician will be responsible for pulling, terminating and testing different types of twisted pair, coaxial and fiber optical cabling, in addition to the installation of various types of pathway support structures and low-voltage systems. We seek self-motivated, attentive to detail, and reliable technicians who are willing to do what it takes to get the job done and who are eager and willing to learn and grow in the voice and data trade.
The Responsibilities
- Install various telecommunication systems.
- Install, terminate, pull, label and test network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, etc.)
- Installing various types of pathway support structures (J-hooks, cable tray, and support rings)
- Able to read schematics and identify cable pathways.
- Coordinate with project manager and keep open line of communication on progress of project via daily logs, e-mails, phone calls, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds, or at heights above 25 feet.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing I.C.E. Contractors, Inc.
The Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of technician installation experience.
- Must be able familiar with terminating fiber optics.
- Able to pass a drug and background check.
- Driver's license and clean driving record for the last 3 years required.
- This position requires extensive travel and technicians who apply must be able to travel 90% to 100% of the time. If you are not able to fulfil this requirement, then do not apply to this position.

- BICSI Certification
- Fusion Splicing Experience
- Scissor Lift Certification and/or experience using scissor lifts
Other Information
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Shift: Night Shift, 9pm to 6am
- Travel: 90% to 100% travel REQUIRED
- Where: Various locations across the United States.
- Salary/wages are based on experience.
