Role Overview:
The Junior Architect / Junior Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the activities of the Project Development Group (PDG), a division focused on providing architectural support for clients, designers, and interior designers in the execution of high-end residential projects. This dual-role involves a combination of architectural design responsibilities and project management tasks, ensuring effective coordination, planning, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support:
- Assist in the development and execution of drawings and construction documents.
- Participate in project planning meetings, record keeping, and project minutes.
- Conduct shop drawing reviews and generate site observation reports.
- Coordinate work with mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers, as well as other consultants.
- Perform field surveys and create base drawings for new projects as required.
- Prepare AutoCAD construction drawings and related project details.
- Translate initial design concepts into 3D renderings and assist with creating photo-realistic images using Rhino for client presentations.
- Apply Revit and AutoCAD skills in both practice and project coordination.
- Contribute to the development of design concepts and presentations using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage project documentation, including budgets, contracts, and change orders.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and maintain organized project files (both electronic and physical).
- Assist with project procurement, reporting, scheduling, and punch list coordination.
- Participate in coordination efforts between internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
- Experience: 1-3 years of architectural experience. Recent graduates with relevant internships will be considered.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Revit with fluent knowledge.
- Skilled in Rhino, with the ability to render photo-realistic images.
- Experienced in AutoCAD, with practice in both school and work environments.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite for design and presentation work.
- Preferred Experience: Residential projects (single-family, condo, or multi-family) experience is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent communication skills to interact with various teams, clients, and vendors.
- Commitment to Quality: A deep commitment to detail and precision in drawings and designs.
- Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience.
