What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Trainer 1 position at i3 Assembly?

Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for training all Manufacturing Employees for IPC related certifications and yearly company-mandated policy training. It involves ensuring all employees training is conducted on time and is documented into i3’s QSi / shared drive databased. The position will also require the Technical Trainer to maintain/update QSi which will involve writing training materials and managing document updates and approvals.


Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to follow written manufacturing instructions and general specifications
  • Ability to work independently
  • Computer skills and use of computer programs
  • Understands and effectively utilize desktop applications and manufacturing systems as required (IPC)
  • Dependability, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to teach / instruct and test IPC and other manufacturing-related concepts.


Qualifications – Education/Experience:

  • High school or equivalent preferred
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • IPC instructor certifications for applicable training
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing


Duties/Responsibilities: (Position Specific)

  • Achieve / Maintain applicable IPC certifications for all manufacturing employees
  • Performs training as defined by specifications / process
  • Is accountable for individual results
  • Adheres to established safety practices, environmental management and quality systems requirements
  • Maintains i3 Assembly Certification Matrix
  • Presenting to management the status of certifications or cross training within the scope of the position.
  • Manages updates, reviews and approvals of work instructions and forms in QSI database.
  • Occasionally review new customer requirements and train employees to those requirements.


Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
  • Regularly required to stand and walk around the plant.
  • Presenting in a class room environment. (Public Speaking)

Salary : $34,400 - $43,500
