Its the way youth sports should be.Job SummaryThis is a weekend only position.Soccer Instructors and Officials play a vital role in delivering the i9 Sports Experience for players, parents, and coaches. This position is hands-on and highly interactive, involving practices and game-day operations across various age groups and skill levels.As an Instructor, you will support and empower volunteer coaches while ensuring instructional standards and sportsmanship values are consistently delivered.As an Official, you will enforce rules while also serving as a culture cultivatorproviding instruction, promoting fairness, and creating a positive on-field environment for all participants.ResponsibilitiesInstructor ResponsibilitiesEmpower and support volunteer coaches during practicesTeach and demonstrate fundamental skills and core sportsmanship valuesObserve, assess, and assist coaches to enhance player developmentSupervise the overall operation of the designated sport on game dayAssist with officiating during games as neededSet up and break down fields and equipmentMaintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to familiesOfficial ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and enforce i9 Sports rules to ensure a safe, fun, and educational environmentTeach and reinforce sportsmanship values during gamesKeep game time and score while managing age-appropriate instruction and competitionServe as an impartial on-field coach and advocate for the programMaintain a positive, professional demeanor with players, coaches, and spectatorsSet up and break down fields and equipmentQualificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSport-specific coaching or playing experienceHighly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independentlyStrong awareness and ability to manage situations to ensure player safetyPositive attitude with the ability to build strong professional relationshipsAvailability to work weekends for the duration of the season (approximately 6-7 weeks)Ability to pass a National Criminal Background CheckVenue LocationsAbington, Blue Bell, Plymouth Meeting, Eagleville and Malvern
