Ian's Pizza is a by-the-slice pizza chain, born in Madison, WI in 2001. We have since extended our roots to Milwaukee, Denver, and Seattle. Creative slices, including our signature Mac n' cheese pie, and positive energy are what has put us on the map as a popular lunch, dinner, and late-night spot in our communities. The being said, community is an important part of everyday operations at Ian's Pizza. General Manager | The Big Cheese.

• Lead all staff by providing and supervising training, performance reviews, mentorship, and development as well as HR support.
• Manage and oversee the development of the store leadership team.
• Oversee all store operations, including but not limited to: product ordering, vendor relationships, implementation of systems or processes, and staffing scheduling.
• Organize all administrative efforts such as marketing, PR, meeting scheduling, and financials.
• Create a comfortable, satisfying work environment while meeting or exceeding the quality, service, cleanliness, and safety standards of Ian's Pizza.
• Improve operations and administrations to reach and execute the vision.
• Anticipate and handle store and staff needs while being the last stop for all emergencies and problematic situations.
• Assist the Managing Partner (MP) with all MP responsibilities.
• Collaborate with franchise (Ian's Soul Central, or ISC) and leadership across locations on initiatives, programs, projects, franchise-wide training, etc.
• Utilize administrative tools such as google docs, google calendar, email, company server, TPC payroll program, iSolved iHire, Jolt, and personnel files.

Qualifications | Do you have management experience in the restaurant industry?

• Cross-trained and regularly able to perform all positions under the general manager level to the highest standards, or able to do so within 4 months of being placed as GM.
• Have assistant manager (or equivalent) experience in the restaurant industry.
• Have great skills in communication, motivation, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving at all times, especially in stressful or fast-paced situations.
• Have an understanding of operations, how to drive sales, enforce proper food quality, interpret Profit & Loss statements, staffing, local store marketing, and sanitation.
• Must complete a food safety certification course within 4 months of being placed as GM.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply!

Scheduling | One does not simply work a 9am-5pm, Monday- Friday job at Ian's.

• 45 hours per week average minimum. No more than 10 hours outside of the store per week.
• About 20-30 hours in operations, about 10 hours on people development and training, and about 10 hours on administration and meetings.
• Closing shifts and weekend shifts required.

Physical Requirements | The hustle is real.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, crouch, and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business.
