The Database Administrator acts as a project leader in the design and installation of database applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Ensures appropriate linkages to existing databases and data processing systems.
- Ensures adequate security and recovery procedures are included in all data base designs.
- Directs the training of user groups in the protocols involved in updating and accessing the database.
- Monitors database transactions to ensure correct usage of the database.
- Provides technical expertise on the database system to user and data processing personnel.
