What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Specialist position at IAP?
- Investigate all accident/injury reports for trends and recommend corrective or preventative measures.
- Ensure the timely flow and accuracy of accident/incident reports.
- Work with various Safety and Security departments to ensure that safety deficiencies are addressed and corrected.
- Assist manager in providing orientation and training to new employees regarding proper work procedure, hazard communication standards and safe work practices.
- Patrol facility to visually and physically inspect property for signs of intrusion and contacts supervisor in the event of a security breach.
- Survey parking areas to determine if vehicles have clearance to be parked in that area.
- Jump start cars, air tires, or add gas as needed.
- Inspect all buildings to ensure entrances and exits are secured.
- Protect employees who are in dire situations as a First Responder.
- Assist with updating and maintaining safety policies.
- Provide and assist with driver training.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Shift: Monday – Friday 4:30pm – 1:00am
