Job Summary:
The High Risk BSA Specialist position manages corporate wide identified high-risk accounts. This includes ongoing reviews, research, and investigations. The position will also be assigned special investigations for BSA/AML purposes as instructed by Management.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Conduct high risk account relationship reviews as per the bank’s monitoring policies and procedures
- Act as contact for Bank Officers to ensure high risk account issues are being addressed and proper due diligence is being conducted during reviews and investigations
- Perform special investigations related to BSA/AML as instructed by Management
- Assist during BSA Examination Preparation and Examiner requests
- Communicate recommendations and/or findings to Management and Operations Managers as needed
- Research and respond to daily inquiries from Corporate BSA Officer, Attorney, BSA Officer, BSA Compliance Officer, or Operations Managers
- Recommend procedural/training improvements as deemed necessary
- Special Projects related to BSA/AML/SAR Process
- Other activities assigned as deemed necessary by Management
SKILLS
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Must be self-motivated and have organizational skills
- Must be capable of analyzing large amounts of data to identify unusual patterns of activity. Time management; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and manage several tasks simultaneously
- Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Industry-specific technical knowledge
EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field
- Overall understanding of investigative processes, reporting of information to management, attention to detail, analysis and use of judgment to evaluate the outcome of reviews conducted
- 3-5 years banking experience, prior fraud/AML investigation experience preferred
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) credential preferred but not required
