The DevSecOps Engineer must be able to meet the key criteria below:
Location: 100% remote

Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Key Skills:

- Must have hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools and integration configurations
- Must be proficient in one or more scripting (i.e., Python and/or Shell, Bash) languages.
- Must have experience with end-to-end automation of CI/CD containerized pipelines (preferred: GitLab CI/CD). The level of experience includes security checks (adherence/remediation) within each stage, automation of software builds, testing within each stage (full test lifecycle), managing both scheduled and unscheduled deployments, and monitoring.
- Must have strong Linux system administrator level experience with (Red Hat Linux preferred). Experience includes hands-on use of command line and shell scripting (for Lambda functions and/or PowerShell tasks).
- Must have experience with deploying and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code using declarative languages (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation)
- Must have experience deploying and integrating AWS managed services (e.g., RDS, IAM, S3, ALBs, Xray, and Security Hub capabilities).
- Must have hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools and integration configurations

Responsibilities
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a full design and development team, participating in scrum ceremonies, interacting with, and supporting our customer.
- Support the development team in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting web applications.
- Deploy new CI/CD workflows and improve the scope of existing ones.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for containerization and DevSecOps and provide relevant advice to team members and customers.
- Must be able to respond to incidents and alerts towards a rational resolution.
- Analyze and resolve issues in the development and production environments; support of environment/platform leads is expected.
- Thoroughly document and maintain records of processes, configurations, and system changes as set forth by customer and/or IBR process directives.
- Resolve performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure and applications; will be working with the leads of the internally developed applications as well as technical support member for COTS products.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer and/or DevOps Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field
- Relevant industry level certifications
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Must have experience with end-to-end automation of CI/CD containerized pipelines. The level of experience includes security checks (adherence/remediation) within each stage, automation of software builds, testing within each stage (full test lifecycle), managing both scheduled and unscheduled deployments, and monitoring.
- Must have experience deploying and integrating AWS managed services (e.g., RDS, IAM, S3, ALBs, Xray, Elasticsearch and Security Hub capabilities).
- Must have experience with Ansible as configuration management tools for maintaining and configuring servers as well as experience with change tracking processes.
- Must have experience with cloud containerization concepts/methodologies as well as hands on implementation experience.
- Must have experience with deploying and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code using declarative languages such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Must be proficient in scripting (i.e. Python, Bash Shell)
- Must have experience with GitHub/GitLab account with open-source contributions and version control.
- Experience with Opensearch
- Familiarity with SQL for database administration and management
- Understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement security measure in CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure.
- Must have experience within Agile and SAFe methodologies and DevOps principles to facilitate collaboration and continue improvement.
- Must have experience adhering to SDLC processes.
- Must have strong communication skills and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While this position primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment and/or home-office environment, there are some physical demands associated with the role, including:
- Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
- Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.
