Host/Hostess Job Description
Hosts are the face of the restaurant; the first people the customers meet upon entering the establishment. We count on you to provide smiles and a welcoming environment for all of our guests.
Hourly wage Tips
Host/Hostess Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests as they enter, provide great customer service for all of our guests.
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations, placing take-out orders, and answering questions.
- Cashing take-out customers out.
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
- Assigning and seating guests to tables, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers are not overwhelmed.
- Keeping a wait-list if needed.
- Knowledge of the menu.
- Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
Host/Hostess Requirements:
- Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
- Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver bags of take-out food when necessary.
- Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.
- Restaurant experience a plus.
Host/Hostess Uniform:
- Black Pants(No jeans)
- Shoes(No basketball Sneakers, No toe showing shoes)
- Button-down shirts(No Graphical Shirts)
- Blouse

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
